Lots of ribbons

My duaghter is pretty proud of her chickens. We just got them home. If you guys remeber we had you all vote for the breeds she was going to show. Well she placed really well. She took a first on her Silkie, third on her Buff orpington, fourth on her Brahma, and cochin. And then fourth on her showman ship.

You guys did pretty good on your votes, and Erin is so happy for her self and her chickes. Next year she is going all out and since she can enter two breeds per class she is going to show a lot of different chickens next year. She also Place resrve on her cross stitching, second on wood working, first on her cake and srcap book, and then our booth took 8th. here are her pictures with her winnings. They pitched her cake so we dont have any of her cake, which was kind of depressing but here is everything else.

YEp she got a ribbon on her hermit crab!!

Here our fair offers kids that dont have enough room or money to show small pets like hermit crabs, fish, hamsters, gerbils, turtles and things like that. My duaghter just thought it would be really fun and did it for one of her projects. The project was called pocket pets, they can't go to State fair or any thing but they have fun doing here at the county fair. Its actually really funny watching the judge trying to judge something like this, ours was really skimish with the crabs and she had a hard time trying to act like she was comfortable and like them. She even screamed when one touched her with its back legs. Lucky for us she hated snakes, and frogs worse

I miss having Hermit Crabs...they're very popular...glad she got a ribbon for him/her. They don't get alot of respect.

You know I was actually surprised that she did place with them. I mean they are kinda ugly. But she really likes them, and knows she can freak me out just by her standing near me holding one of those things. About the only thing in life that will make me scream is a crawdad, or ( Crawfish). One of my brothers put a bunch in the bottom of my sleeping bag when I was about 10. Ever sinc ethen I hate them. And I know they arent crawdads and sometimes will even hold them very carefully though. But I hate when someone else has them and are near me.
