LOTS OF SILKIES!

HHHmmmm well do you do a preventative with for mites and lice? Lice you would see by the way. Let her dust bath in some sand and ash. Um maybe give her bath dry her and then dust her with Diatomeacous Earth. Also check for stress related possibilities, is there an over active roo is she the outcast and being picked on, stuff like that.

Thanks everyone, I will look into these possibilities. They are only about 5~6 weeks old, so I have not done any preventative for lice and mites yet. I can get the DE from TSC this weekend. We can also give her a bath and check her out closer tomorrow. I have been spending most of my time working building the coops. The meat birds went in their coop two nights ago, but the layers are still the brooders, which are now one big brooder.

If you see mites or lice get sevins dust or poultry dust. DE won't cut it.
