Morning All!
I found a lot of yellow and runny poop in one of my chicken runs this morning when I went to check on everyone.
Yesterday was cooler and it rained hard all day so I didn’t do any cleanup or spend time in the run. Today is cooler as well (as in 60’s).
The 14 chickens in this run are all 14 weeks old tomorrow. They eat Scratch & Peck grower crumbles and nothing else (aside from whatever they get when free ranging).
I also have another flock of 10 that range in age from 26 weeks to 9months old. They eat Scratch & Peck layer pellets and nothing else (aside from whatever they get when free ranging).
Their coops and runs are parallel to each other and they can stick their heads through each other's fences.
Back in July I treated both flocks for Coccidiosis and my older flock only for tapeworm confirmed with a fecal test from vet.
After failed attempt at Corid, I treated Coccidiosis with Endocox (again, both flocks to be safe). I used Equimax on the older flock for tapeworm.
Should I try to talk my vet into another fecal test to know what I’m treating? Any guesses on something I can be proactive with now?
See pics below.
My current big run is a 20x30 welded wire fence with hawk net over top. I literally have someone coming this Friday to build me a big run with a roof for all the birds to move into together and keep things dry.
Help! Please and thank you!
