Loud Hens

OHHH!! I love noisy hens!! For my hens it means full nest boxes!! when my hens are quiet no eggs...when they talk loud theyre happy,and bunch o eggs!!

I love the noises the hens make... Except the one that decided to crow. Yes she lays eggs AND crows. I figured out she was crowing into our window to wake me up and let me know that her girlfriend was laying, or that she was "starving". The last few days I have
1. made sure they roost in the coop by giving them food before dusk in the coop and really stuffing them full.
2. completely cover the coop. I don't hear them until 8 am now instead of 6:30 (dawn).

I am sure my neighbors are happier. If I lived where the neighbors weren't 20 feet away I wouldn't worry so much!

Love those eggs! I had my first egg salad sandwich yesterday from fresh eggs. Oh heaven!

The "crowing" and noise started for me when they started to lay also. Just like
