Loud Jersey Black Giants

I have two NJG roos. They are VERY vocal, but they are pussy cats. The hens hang with the Australorps, I guess becuase they look alike.

I also noticed with my black Giant is not aggressive if I am wearing my green 'muck' boots, but if I am wearing my white tennis shoes he doesn't like them and will be more aggressive. You may find that there are certain clothing items that set them off more?

I really do think they are beautiful Roosters. I'm glad they are getting calmer for me.

As far as getting them to stop crowing... I can't help you there. Luckily I live far enough from my neighbors that its not a problem for me. I have six Roosters (well at least counting those that are crowing...) and they crow a fair amount even during the day though (especially when they are spread out foraging... they seem to like to know where all the other Roosters are because they answer back in cue).
