Louisiana anyone?

Hi, I'm in Baton Rouge. I had someone give me six 2 week old chickens and a coop in June. Built the run myself (!) and am able to let them out to free range a good part of the day. Only thing is, one by one at about 10 weeks they started crowing....so out of the six, I've only got one really sweet rooster left and two hens. He's a pretty low-key crower, so I'm thinking to hold onto him a bit because he's really good at keeping the girls in line and is helping me get them trained to come in when I need them to! Looking tho to maybe add a hen soon so that I'll have three.

What breed of chicken do you have

One hen is a buff orpington, and the rooster is a rhode island red, and the second hen looks to be a little of both of those two. Looks mostly RIR, but has some buffO look about her.
