Louisiana Chickenstock?

I was thinking that it was something like a lunch/get together, but wouldn't say because I didn't know...lol

I don't know of anyone that lives in that area though. I will go check my thread "Anyone from LA?" and see where all of the LA people are located.

I know that we have members from Sulphur, which is approx. 3 hours from me. I am in Ponchatoula and my sister lives close by me. I think that I remember someone from Mississippi saying that they wouldn't mind coming to a LA Chickenstock if it wasn't too far from them.

I could probably have it at my other sister's house, but she lives in Kentwood and I don't know if that would be too far for people to come. She isn't a member, but I am almost positive that I could have it there. Her house isn't far from the MS border and then if there was MS members that would like to come then it would be close for them also.

Mapquest Kentwood, LA and see how far it is for you to come and let me know something. We might be able to get something going here. I would like to make sure that it isn't too far for people to come before I talk to my sister about it though.

I didn't pull up Mapquest, but MS I think is about 4 hrs from me (judging that Pensacola is a 6-8 hr drive.)
Lets keep this thread up & flowing over the next couple days & see what kind of feedback we get and go from there?

Alright chicken friends, I need to know who all would be interested in a LA Chickenstock in Kentwood, LA. Do a Mapquest and see how far it would be to Kentwood so that I will know if it would be logical to have it there.

Slidell, LA - 1 hr 23 min. - 85 miles
Shreveport, LA - 4 hrs. 55 min. - 319 miles
Jena, LA - 2hrs. 59 min. - 160 miles
Denham Springs, LA - 1 hr. 8 min. - 67 miles
Alexandria, LA - 3 hrs. 26 min. - 217 miles
Monroe, LA - 3 hrs. 24 min. - 220 miles
Vicksburg, MS - 2 hrs. 19 min. - 144 miles
Woodville, MS - 1 hr. 35 min. - 60 miles

I hope that this gives all of you some estimation of the distance and time.

hmm...seems kinda far for alot of people...but i'd rather hear from ACTUAL louisiana residents than me

I am worried about it being too far for people also. This is my first choice, so that it isn't costing to rent a place to have it. I am going to keep looking to see what I can find out though.

Kentwood is a possibility for me.. depending on when it is. 4 hours is a bit of a drive, but I would love to come!!
