Louisiana Get-together?

I will ask Jerry if he has any of the class D seramas. Did you want a roo or pullet?

The silkies were $10 and that is what I paid for the seramas too.

I have golden sebrights, buff brahmas, golden laced cochins, and maybe a frizzled cochin.

I would love a roo!

I have two hens that are about 18 months old and quite adorable. I'd like to have a rooster to complete the trio, even if he is a little big.

I picked up your roo today. He is actually really small, but his tail goes to the side and not straight up. I will try and get a picture and post it tomorrow.

He is the white guy.

Debbie- I am so grateful! He's beautiful!

If you need or want me to get him before the 29th or if you want me to send you some money now, I can do so.

Thanks so much!

He is fine for now. I will tell you that his tail does seem to inhibit his balence a little bit. They are all a little scared right now from the long drive. I have been making them their serama studio, and it should be finished tomorrow. I am sure that they will like it much more than my mudroom.

So, are we still on for this weekend?

My house (and therefore, coop) are still in process, so I'm not gonna be able to take any birds home.

But I'm still eager to talk chickens all day.

I don't have a kitchen and can't make anything, but I'm happy to pick up a watermelon or some sodas or something.

I can bring something also. Not sure what exactly just yet. But I will figure out something to bring. I am getting excited! I don't know if I will have any chickens to bring or not. I sold the young set I had and one of my polish died so now I don't know if I want to get rid of any of my SS. I might have a mix hen or two I would be willing to bring. I wasn't sure I wanted to let them go just yet because I only had 3 hens laying. But now I got a Barred rock that is laying and one of my RIRs started laying. YAY! So I really should make the space in my coop for my SS and Polish.

I just wanted to put that there wasn't anything wrong with the polish that died. We got alot of rain and I think the Ameraucanas drowned her because they are very wild and get on top of each other. We have it fixed now to where it wont happen again. We had just got that cage and I guess didn't think about them never being on the ground before. I was very heartbroken.
