i am looking for breeders of heritage breeds around South Louisiana.

There are a lot of heritage breeds. Are you looking for anything in particular? I know an individual that raises heritage large fowl white cornish and other varieties and breeds in Amite Louisiana but aren't on this forum. They are show quality so they are priced accordingly. Don't expect barging basement prices. They also ship. LFW cornish pictured.

That is a beautiful bird and those are the Cornish that can live a while correct not the Cornish cross correct? I am in search of breeds such as New Hampshire's, RIR, Dominique and australorps and such. Although I do love the looks of those Cornish. Thank you. And yes I understand very well paying the price for good pure stock thank you so much again!

I raise Blue Laced Red Wyandottes from Foley's lines first generation. Theyre not real meaty but theyre real showy. I dont show and i havent seen my flock tested but they are bred to the proposed standard of perfection. They lay real well large light brown eggs for much longer than production birds, go broody occasionally but not constantly, and have a very gentle disposition. My quail are who i over for eating but you cant beat the looks of these chickens. I am not sky high priced, and working on NPIP certification. So without furthure addoo

I also breed Svart Hona. Black top to bottom, inside and out my birds have great color with No leakage so far! Theyre not real good layers of med white or light creme colored eggs and occasionally broody. This is different from the Ayam Cemani only in country of origin. The swedish had my line and they made a more compact version of the line from a pair who were gifted to them.

I dont really have any of these available right this minute, mostly just sharing but im working on it! Your close enough u might wanna wait on me. I bought this pair and have attempted to hatch her every single egg.
