Hey Cadjien I finally got a couple of three shots of that lil' boy I got some time back. He's supposedly Kelso but I figure he may just have some Kelso in him from down the line as he's a little light and his daddy is a yellow-hackled bird. Very good boy though, gentle as a lamb too.

Oh yeah Hey there La-yers nice weather huh? NOPE not for me I'm ready for the 90's again don't like being cooped up inside. Atleast you can work out when its hot just take a few more breaks and cool down not cold once cold always cold till you find a heat source and I still don't get a smacking cause I'm the one the reminded ya'll of frozen waterers last year, remember how miserable and its just getting started too. NOPE not a fan of cold sorry

And Twiley I'm working on getting these established here I got about 10 more coming on the 13 of Dec. from Mo. kathyinmo's bunch and "REAL"Barred Rocks and Delawares too. Im getting me a brood of goodies this time and yes it cost the bejeebers for them too but well worth it in my book though. Good quality for sure.

Its too nasty out to get pics of my lone girl now but I will post up some soon as I get them.

That is the smallest pig I've ever seen. What's the story behind it? Is it the runt? Did the mother reject it? You'll have a blast bottle feeding it. I hope you don't plan on raising it to butcher because once you've bottle fed it and raised it by hand you'll realize how much personality it has and you won't be able to kill it.

Let's see the story..... A friend was hog hunting shot the mom didn't realize it had babies with her, this was the only one he could catch. They were getting it to eat dog food, we on the other hand can't get it to eat anything. Bought milk replacer today and tried to bottle feed it no go.. soaked bread in the milk no go.... gave it some dog feed and it at least started acting like it was going to eat it. Hubby went to wal mart and just called and said he found some grower and finisher for pigs. So he should be getting home soon and I guess he'll call and let me know if he can get it to eat something. I'm not sure what else to do. And yes he's being raised to slaughter. Don't think I couold ever get attacked to this squealing azz thing. I now know the true meaning of the world squeal like a pig!!

I did get a couple more pics today I will try to get off my phone and get posted!!

Terri raised brooders are great just have to make sure they are either high enough nothing can pull the babies through the bottom or have a pan system under it so critters cant get them.
Hope all goes well with the new job.

missi try some can dog food with a little condensed milk fpr the piglet. Rub his nose around in it a bit and it should get the idea.

yes, follow the link that Terri posted. Go to "My Account" on the left. Then scroll down and it will ask you to create an account. Click on that to create your account.
