"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Well we are almost ready to move everyone into the new coop. It's long overdue!

So far I think it has turned out really well. The right side has 4 separate runs with a 5.25ft. X 7ft. of coop space with a 5.25 X 12 ft. run. The left side has one larger coop/run for the layers. It has 10.5ft. x 7 ft. of coop space with a 12ft. x 11.5 ft. run. We left the back left corner open to provide shelter for the sheep and geese. I plan on using some small tarps as wind breaks for the winter, and leaving it nice and open during the summer. The wind is always blowing out there, so it should keep everything nice, dry, and airy. I have to put some more netting up between the coops to keep them from flying out, but once that it done then it's moving day! The next step will be building a small pasture off the back for the sheep and geese. I can't wait to have everyone in one spot!

We lined the bottom with railroad ties, and plan to run electric fence all the way around it. I'll post more pics once we get everyone moved in.

That came out awesome!! Great job!!

Introducing my new baby that was born sometimes yesterday when I was at work. I came home after work to find this bundle of joy. I'm not sure if it's a male or female. I didn't want to upset mama, so I didn't get too close.

How adorable is that!!! I know you're so proud! Congratulations!

What a cutie! I can't wait to have a couple lambs bouncing around. I adore our 2 ewe lambs we got last summer. Our little ram is getting quite the attitude though. Little does he know, it will only make it easier when it comes time to butcher him! I thought I couldn't go through with it, but he is slowly changing my mind!

If you have any extra lambs this spring then let me know Julie. I may want to take one off you hands!

Wow! This is coming out nice and your giving me some ideas too.....Love the doors!!!!

I love the little baby! We spent the weekend getting ready for our babies that will be here shortly. We have one foal due in 6 weeks and one in about 9 weeks. My wife had me take down two walls and make 4 stalls into 2 very large stalls. She also had me put cameras up in the barn so she would have a few weeks to work any bugs out with them. I just got finished cleaning stalls....what a pain.lol!!

Well if everything goes well I should have 3 more of those German NH tomorrow!!! These are all 4 months old birds so it shouldn't be to long and I'll be able to hatch my own eggs and save me some money.

Thank you. I will let you know if I have any extra lambs.

Thanks

Absolutely adorable little lamb!

We have the last posts in place & wire waiting to be strung, hope to finish the pea pen this weekend. That will give them 40 x 60 feet of space to roam around in. They'll be able to fly the length of the pen! I know they'll love that. Then I have to landscape it & make it pretty & "tropical" looking!
