JEFF!!!!!!   you can have my RIR roosters - I'll even bring them to you!!! when do you want them? I can't tell who's who yet-

Julie, I ordered my Brinsea (I assume that's what you're asking -- I'm at home on the old slow computer

Best thing to do Julie is get on there Facebook page. They are always have coupon codes on there!!

thanks for the tip. I will do that.

So sorry to hear about your loss Chris. It's always sad when we lose one. Fingers crossed that the rest will be ok.
I would feel better if I knew what the cause was behind all this, This make 4 birds all from the same clutch, type and breed...and all at different times....1 in hours, 2 in about a week and this last one at about 4-5 weeks. Heck I was playing with this one that died yesterday around lunch and she looked and was acting fine.

Chris

Yes the hatching will be on a small scale. Probably no more than 10 goose or turkey eggs at a time. The chickens and ducks are on their own. So, I assume they sell goose egg turners? The turkey eggs should be able to fit in those as well.

Oh yes they will.. See the way the Brinsea works is that the whole thing turns whether you have a turner or not. Without he turner you just tilt it over since it's shaped like an octagon. It has slitted section and metal bars that can be made as small or as large of a place you need for the size of egg your incubating!!

I had something similar happen with this last batch I hatched. Out the blue I had 2 die (one from my eggs and one from shipped eggs) they were laying side by side like they were sleeping. I'm thinking maybe it got to hot in there for them but the othes were just fine!!

Hey there La-yers how do ya'll do this fine day.

What in heck is that big ol' ball of yellow stuff up in the sky called its bout to blind the living daylights outta me (oh yeah its called daylight) huh? Havent seen any of that in so long I bout forgot what it looked like. I love it , I'm about to go under here. We needed the rain but enough is enough already, we need to save some for a sunnier day(pun intended here). I wont be able to put a garden in till it dries out some.Heck what I got now is drownded, if it does'nt dry up some it'll all die from lack of oxygen. Sure be a good time to start growing peat moss I'd reckon. Heck I've even found three or four drowned crawfish, now tha'ts bad when it gets that soggy and mushy round these parts LOL

Anyway evrything else is good I got buckets and buckets full of eggs and nowhere to go with them. So the next move is selling off hens, so if anybody is interested in some egg-layers nothing special just good egg-laying chickens (I HAVE THE PROOF IN HAND HERE) just holler at me via PM or e-mail here. I have plenty to go around so don't be shy or too embarrassed to ask. PLEASE! come get ya'll some, or send somebody that needs a bunch. I'll put them in the egg business(I didn't say a profitable business, just business). LOL

Jeff

PS Terrie I will take whatever boys(RIRs) you want to get rid of fo'sho'.

They are YOURS -- just as soon as I can tell boys from girls! They sure are the finest, healthiest chicks I have EVER hatched!
