"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

nope lost it too... someone came in.. first post they ever posted and bid 55$ over my bid... I thought it was a prank bid so I didn't bid higher. Man, my luck tonight is low. Oh, but on a happy note, I did buy a silkie showgirl, and possibly a few more if any hatch from the seller on thursday, so that is good.

What kind of eggs were you bidding on? I think hatching could easily become an addiction for me, lol! My babies are 2 weeks old and I have more eggs in the bator. I'll have to turn it off for quite a while after this so my husband can take a break from building! Either that, or I'll have to start giving chicks away to the neighbors.

Hatching can be very addictive, I have 8 hens, 4 new mixed breed chickens that were my test bunch, and now I have won 12+ Blue Laced Red Wyandotte eggs... Not to mention I have 40 ducks that are 2 months old now (the majority will be headed for the dinner table).

Yea im in Denham and was cutting the grass, when I made it inside I realized the lights were out. I think a demco substation had some problems with equiptment.

Yes it was all around. We're in Pride and lost have power for a good long while, then it completly went out. Was so gladed it didn't stay off long!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.. It sure was beautiful out there. Had my wrists injected Friday and I was pretty much done for over the weekend. I have such a horrible reaction to the meds but the shots sure do help!

I candled eggs tonight when I got home..

First I have 9 that are on lockdown.. tomorrow is day 20

I have about 30 that will go on lockdown soon and only had 2 that were quitters.

I candled the first 2 sets of turkey eggs (17 total) and believe it or not EVERY single one is progressing. Told my son if the other 25 are the same we're gonna have turkeys coming out the ying yang!!

All but one of the Easter Eggers are progressing also!

I have almost 5 dozen that I'll set Thursday that will hatch right before the Monroe Chicken Expo. Will have lots of babies to sell there!!

Hope you all have a great week!!

Welcome to the La-yers....BrokeDbrew & Ann

No sebbie goslings yet! She should hatch her clutch in a couple weeks. I have a few more in the incubator, and I also have another goose that decided to set last week. I was trying to pull all the eggs, but I lost 2 grandparents last week so the egg picking fell to the wayside. The gray girl only has a few eggs under her because she was DETERMINED to set. I felt bad letting her sit on a big nest of nothing! She looks like she will be a good mama for only being 1 year old.

Gracie, so sorry to hear about your grandparents!!
