"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Good morning everyone. I had a poult that hatched on yesterday. I brought it inside because it was hatched in the big chicken house and it wasn't safe there with the mother. I was soooooooooooo happy to see that it started eating and drinking on it's own immediately. One less thing for me to worry about.

I am super excited for the swaps! I am painting chickens to bring. Anyone have any suggestions on a breed I should paint?
This first one is finished.. it is of silkies :) Not sure the breed of this one... I looked at a picture from a poultry magazine but it didn't say the breed... It is currently being glossed. And this is the one I am working on now... still need to do the background. More silkies :)

Very nice job. :thumbsup

Nice job! Are these oil paintings? What's the size? How much do you charge?

I'd be interested in one with Sebastopol Geese.

This is one I did with a swan. I bet I could do some nice geese. Here is the lavender silkies ready to be signed and glossed. I haven't tried to sell anything yet, because I haven't been painting very long.. but my teacher told me to sell for 0.25 a square inch, with exceptions on smaller pieces. So I did the math. The Lav Silkies and the Rooster are 16x20 so they would be $80. The beige silkies is 11x14 it is 45$ (I priced it a little higher since it was a weird number) The girl and the swan is 24x18 for 110$. I am also going to do some smaller pieces. I bought some canvases today. I can do the geese and you don't have to buy it unless you want to. I think I would like to do geese... I really like Canadian geese... oooh that gives me a good idea!
