"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Why is it when a predator, in this case a bobcat, decides to have your chickens for dinner, he gets your absolute most favorite pet chickens?

It was Wednesday evening. We were about to eat supper and my bf came running in the house and said the dogs were carrying on and ran something off and there were white feathers in the yard. So the first thought that came to my mind was my 2 month old white cochin rooster, I called him Lil Roosta. I went running out to my pens searching everywhere around them and searched the field across the road and sure enough he was the one missing. I actually brought him to the last chicken swap at Tractor Supply to sell because I didnt need anymore roosters and no one wanted to buy him. So I brought him home and asked if one of my friends, the one that was selling the showgirls lol, if she wanted him because he was the sweetest thing and wanted him to go to a good home. But she also didnt need anymore roosters. Well, when I would feed I would call his name and he would come running to me and jump in my hand and lay down and he would follow me around, so I said oh no its just meant to be I have to keep this little guy, he just stole my heart and next thing you know he was gone :( It just burns me up, its like they know out of all the chickens i had him with, him and one of my other ones were just a couple of the ones I was going to keep and i'm selling the rest and he decides to dine on him and my only naked neck frizzle i had left.

That is so sad. :hit

Yeah, my heart dropped and I just wanted to cry when I realized he was gone. And its a pain having predators around, I'm scared to let my small dog wonder off too far near the edge of the woods by himself. It seems like everytime we catch one another one moves in though. It's like a neverending cycle

I'm so sorry!!! that's like some kind of Murphy's Law that if the predators hit; they will always get your favorites.
