Howdy there. Hope that you have a great weekend.

Good morning everyone. It's gonna be a hot one today. I was up early this morning to start my day. I have dug out the mud from the 1 foot holes that the chickens dug. Now, I have to put some dirt and sand in the holes and watch them kick it out. :barnie

Today is feed pick up day, so I have to get some feed. Just wanted to let everyone know about another feed experiment that I tried. Remember when I switched from Lay Pellets to Flockraiser and my egg production increased. Well, a couple of weeks ago, I decided to experiment yet another time. I decided to go back to Lay Pellets just to see if the Flockraiser experiment was a fluke. Well, in the 2 weeks of everone being on Lay Pellets, the egg production DECREASED AGAIN. Well, that's what I needed to know. Lay Pellets DO NOT work for my flock. I dont' know why but the results are in and Lay Pellets are OUT from here on. Purina Flockraiser from here on out. Having them on Flock Raiser pellets boosts eggs production in numbers that DO NOT compare to Lay Pellets.

Stay cool ya'll. :frow

My egg production went up too.

Busy morning here---- one peachick hatched & the other is busily working at it!

Gonna pop by the Covington sale for a bit tomorrow. The Mosquitos are swarming here lately....today I stapled screen around the brooder. Hoping that helps. Will go look at a fogger tomorrow

kuntrygirl, thank you for sharing that info.

My girls don't even seem to enjoy the pellets. . . this was our first bag since my girls are just @ 21 wks., our last bag was the Flock Raiser tho. and they munched it down. Hoping they will start giving back here shortly. I would love to have more birds, but I'm stuck to 15 until DH sees some production, lol

Both pea eggs hatched!! my first peachicks from my homebred birds!!!

Sending safe thoughts to everybody near the Gulf coast -- hope TS Debbie goes around us!!!
