Mine have been outside for several weeks now -- I have shade cloth over the top of the chicken tractor where they are all of the time. Jim puts out pans of ice when it's really hot. I'd be worried about Prince, yes, -- because he's used to being in air conditioning, right? so he would not do well in 96 unless he had a fan -- you could get one of those battery powered fans at Walmart - we have several we use for pets & peopleHey Terri. How's it going? I wanted to text you the other night but I have been so in to those Olympics, I forget to breath sometimes. I want to leave Prince out in the day time in the stalls that I have but I'm afraid that it's too hot. Although the stalls are covered and open air, I don't know if 96 degrees is too hot for him. I would jump off of a ledge if I left him out and come home from work to find him dead from the heat.So do you think 96 degrees is too hot for the little guy?
He is a 9 weeks old.![]()
Jeff I'm noticing the same thing -- even Facebook has slowed down, lol! Guess it's the "dog days of summer" - all this nice heat & humidity keeping everybody down. How do there La-yers whats up boy everbody must be cooped up in the AC huh sure ''ain't" much buzz on here lately. I'm begining to wonder if Vernon parish is the only place left in the world seems like everbody has disappeared on all the forums I frequent. It's bad when I can't even stir up a stink with a bad post that'd usually get you a reaming right out the gate! LOL
Jeff

(our power was off for an hour this evening - squirrel fried itself in a capacitor - thank goodness Jim was a lineman in the AF in Vietnam -he got the # of the power pole & the problem & reported all of that -- and then, they came to our house!!! - said they were told 'that's where the problem is' -- Um, No -- but we led them to the problem pole & they fixed it, so all's well). They did tell Jim they wished they could give him some of their equipment so he could fix these minor problems & save them some time -- us too!
Anyway, I'd put him out there w/a fan on him.
I think my Amtrak is a girl. Romeo is now moulting also. We are so glad to be through this 1st peacock hatching season. Rest of the babies are all doing well.
HEY! How's everybody else out there doing? We need UPDATES!!!!!
