This show is just going to be a fun show, yes there will be judges but not sanctioned with the apa or the aba. (still looking for those that would like to judge) we need to practice and get use to how a show runs before we will have a sanctioned show. It will be an open show and mix breed (barnyard mix) are allowed to show too. Ages 1 (with parents there to help of course) to 100+ are the show age requirements to participate. We are still in the process working on what types of fowl are going to be showed, trying to hold a tallie and see what interest is there on what type of fowl folks would like to show. I have sponsor the awards as much as i can ( i might end up hiding under the chair on that but we will see) so i need to know what kind of ribbons, and other awards to get. Also the public gets a chance to vote there favorite poultry so the winner will get the people's choice award. :) We are still working on how much the entry fee is going to be. You don't have to be a member of our club to participate. But if you like what we do you can join us :)

Kuntrygirl, for just you to be a member it will cost 8 dollars a year to join or 20 dollars for 3 years

I'll let you know more when that information becomes available. Till then I hope everyone have a wonderful day and enjoy the warmer weather again. :)

I have our application for the club. My family would also love to participate. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help or what thoughts are. I have also seen on bookoo that there are poultry meetings--is that the same group?

I have several birds we could try showing. What will be the ages for birds? I've never shown birds...do they need to be full adult?

Hey good morning La-yers! boy it sure did turn into winter here - & fixing to get worse, too!

We had to pick the rest of the lemons yesterday or the freeze will turn them into mush. We picked a couple branches & I had my sink in the kitchen filled up with them plus a big box. Jim said, "you ought to go talk to your buddies across the street & see if they want to sell any" (meaning Inglewood Farms) -
so I did -- & they bought all that I had! -- four bushels of lemons that they will sell & give me a percentage of the profit at their farmer's market!

I processed the ones in the sink & got exactly one gallon of lemon juice, so I have my ice trays full & the rest in the fridge until I get them all converted into "lemon cubes".

OK busy day at work so have to hop to it. Have a good day!
