"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Lovely twinsies! Hooray!

Well, now I have 3 darn gold neck d'uccles gone broody. Poor Tanya Tucker moves her one lonely egg to a new spot in the coop every day. I have no idea how she rolls that sucker out of the nest but she manages every time. Today Tanya and Dolly were joined by Crystal. I guess since Julie has become Fertile Acres I'm assuming the Broody acres position.

Does anyone else here have d'uccles? Every time I set eggs the d'uccle eggs start popping on day 19. And boy do they pop like popcorn! I have gold necks coming out of my ears!

Thanks for posting the soil testing info and the spider chart.

I hate spiders!!! Well, except for daddy long legs. They're kinda cute.

Hope the party went well. I had to candle some chicken eggs yesterday so I went ahead and checked the peas. All five of my pea eggs are veining!

Last day of school for me this year. I have an hour drive home then a two hour drive to my son's graduation. I have to be back at school for a work day tomorrow, but kids won't be here so it doesn't really count.

Keep us posted on their progress. Can't wait to see the little chicks.

Quote: Too funny. LMBO!
is anybody elses animals going bat crap crazy? my ducks and rooster have been making a whole lotta racket this morning...idk maybe they sense the bad weather coming.
My little flock went a little nuts this morning when I went out to feed and water them. They all sounded the alarm...danger, danger Will Robinson. About that time I realized I still had a big white towel wrapped around my head from the shower!!

As soon as I took it off, they went back to normal.

WooRay!!! (combo of WooWoo and Hooray LOL) on the pea eggs. Yeah, my last day was last Friday, the last faculty meeting, no kids. I did other work before I started teaching (Elementary) and honestly I thought teachers had it made, go home earlier than many jobs, holidays, summer. BUT, when I started teaching, Phew!!! That is the hardest job I ever loved. (that may be a Peace Corps line, but it applies to teachers, too). I have never loved a job more and never been as completely worn out as I was teaching. Those last few weeks before summer are unbelievable!! I am retired now, but will NEVER forget to love all our teachers that love and shape our precious children.

Congratulations on your retirement!
