Here's a pic of some of the peas. Eggs are still hatching in the incubator.
And you were worried about that power outage! I'd say you did pretty good!
Thanks Terri. Yes I was very worried about powrr outage, low humidity and high temps above 100. All of them were born healthy with no leg or toe problems.

3 of my pea babies are on their way to their new home in Slidell. Their new owner made it here at 10:00am. She stepped out of her SUV with a frilly pink carrying case lined with lace, chiffon and other girlie decorations. She had the bottom lined with a diaper. The interior waas ined with organza. Lol.. let me stop. But you get the picture. I am very comfortable that they will be very well cared for. The next owners are scheduled for after lunch. I think they are also very responsible owners.

I decided to check Stormey's 1st 2 eggs for fertility and eat them. They tasted great! Not sure about fertility. Here's a pic of the 1st egg (I broke the yolk, darn it). The 2nd egg had no markings at all. I tried to roll the yolk around to make sure it wasn't on the other side but didn't see anything.

1st egg. Fertile?

X2. I think you can rest easy about those peas. You were serious when you said people wanted the peas. That was quick. Were they dry yet? Lol!!
Lol @ were they dry yet. Lol. They were barely dry. They weren't in the brooder a good 24 hours. LOL

see the bullseye at about 4 o'clock position thats the blastoderm where the sperm would enter the ova and the first place for signs of development. this looks to be growing some(fertile) the brownish color in the center is whats called a blood spot where something has become detached in the reproduction system and got trapped in the egg this happpens on occasion and is harmless and you can eat it without any ware if you're not squeamish about such things if so give it to the cat or dog they will love it. I eat the ones like this as I know what it is. no worries
