"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Oh goodness, I leave for an hour & I'm five pages behind in posts!

Yep, you absolutely must have a pressure canner if you're going to can meat & anything else with a low acidic level.

"Twerking"? If a dog acted like that, you'd worm him!

It's "condolences" on my 3 broodies, because I just got through getting my flock down to a reasonable level, and it's too hot for them to be acting like this! But I gave up Sunday - I don't even know how many or what eggs they're sitting on, but they can stay on them until they either hatch them or give up on them!
I think 2 of the 3 are getting senile...

Midnight lawnmower ride ends with arrest

Posted: Aug 28, 2013 10:50 AM CDT

HOUMA, La. (AP) - A 50-year-old Houma man taking a midnight ride on a lawnmower was arrested and accused of driving while intoxicated.

Houma police say they arrested Edward Duke around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday after spotting Duke piloting his lawnmower without lights.

Police tell The Courier that Duke appeared intoxicated and subsequently failed a field sobriety test. He also had an outstanding warrant for driving while intoxicated in New Mexico.

Duke was booked into Terrebonne Parish jail on charges of second offense DWI and operating an unsafe vehicle.

It was unclear whether Duke has an attorney.

Hey I know folks in Arkansas that got DUIs on horses, you know, now really, come on now I wonder what they really did to piss off the cop that they couldn't bust them for,but it is a law though I guess it was instilled to keep the DWI's and wagon wrecks down back in the day.

So this is what 12 cups (3 quarts) of muscadine juice looks like. I crushed (3) 1 gallon bags of muscadine last night and I have 1 more to crush tonight. This will make 5 gallons of muscadine wine. However, I do have a 2nd batch of muscadines that I have to crush tonight as well. I will have 2 batches from 2 different vines/2 different people. I'm curious to see how the taste differs.

I have a lot of transferring juices to different containers tonight. I have too much. :barnie The pear wine may have to be put on hold. If not, I may make 3 gallons in separate containers. I'm all out of 5 galllon buckets and it pains me to think that I am thinking about going to Lowe's to buy about 5 more 5 gallon buckets with lids but I think I will bite the bullet and go get more. This hobby is so much fun !!!!!!!!!!

I scored these free buckets on yesterday.

You have the popcorn. Julie will bring the wine. Terri has the Hi-beam and I'll take the video. Sounds like a good show. Guess even Miley's gross performance couldn't get it off of you Jeff. Lol
