See those temps? My body fights me tooth n nail to move on the highs and just stops functioning correctly on those lows.

Did I see the S word above? I will cry. Lol
Too busy for this weather, it needs to move back up north pronto!

Yes I'm serious. It's not the first time she's done this. Other than this she's a good neighbor. She's the cat lady every neighborhood has one. I wish she would stick to cats. She will trap the stray cats and pay the pound to get them fixed and then let them go and put food out for them. Last year one of the coons got almost my whole flock. Four of them she bought for me as a gift. She gets close to them and they take food out of her hand I think that is crazy with all the disease they can carry. It's a wild animal and could bite the hand that feeds it at any time. Last year we trapped at least 8 coons. I'm sure we got the one she was feeding she mentioned it had quit coming around. We were also tired of picking our garbage up every morning . I might call her next time and ask her to pick it up. It was nice after we trapped them no garbage to pick up hens we're safe. Now I have to start over. Bleep! Bleep!
Are you serious? :barnie
Are they nuts?! Reminds me of last time I went for a hike at a state park. People were feeding them then got upset because they broke into the cars (windows cracked because it was summer) and stole any food and shiney thing they could find.
They get in her house if she forgets to lock her pet door. I wish they would drag her garbage all over her yard.
Why would anyone do that?! Feed one once and your gonna have eight the next day. Even if you don't have chickens to worry about coons will wreck your trash, get into your house and make messes like they just did and if they decide to move into your attic the raccoon piss will destroy your roof. Not to mention the diseases. Like wildlife all you want, but its not good for ANY wild animal to feed them. Sure they like it, but they lose their fear and it will get them killed. Yep! She calls it BP and when she has food for it she goes on her porch and calls it . It comes running. She has made the mistake of telling me where it's living which lot it comes from. So she has sealed its fate. One of a different neighbors cat came up maimed she didn't think the cat would make it. I told her the coon probably got the cat fighting over food. She didn't take the hint . I bet if the other neighbor knew they would be ******. That had to be a hefty vet bill. They have emotions that was obvious when they witness a flock mates death by predator. This last time my survivors seemed like they had PTSD. Poor Molly. If a chicken can truly love, she loved him. She's never really warmed up to anyone else since I got her. :hit
What a beautiful boy. So sorry for your loss.
When I still worked at the lumberyard, we had a customer doing a remodel on a house out on Cane River. They left for a 2 week vacation. Upon their return, they found a family of raccoons had moved into the attic. The fleas were so bad and the damage so great they had to start all over again; practically tear the whole house down.
I don't want to wish anything on my neighbor. I would like it do tear up something she cars about or make a home in her house so she would STOP!

Personally, I lump coons, possums, armadillos, coyotes & hawks all in the same category – TARGETS!
yes me too and you could add rats too. I'll bide my time but I will get rid of this one too. I wish she would stop I don't want to do this every year. We had one year of peace after we trapped them last time. Pam

We have an older friend that used to feed coons at his house. He can't now because he has lost his sight from his diabetes. But he thought they were just the cutest things. Nice neighborhood with no livestock type animals like chickens though......and a little patch of woods for those coons to live in. I thought it was scary. I never would go out on the patio with them! Lol!

Hubby bought me an early anniversary gift. A nice compact radio/cd/mp player for the kitchen. Christmas tunes are rocking! Homemade pizza for dinner on this cold evening.
