"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I have rabbits from Celie.
Huge, pure breeders with good weights, large litters and are great mothers so far! Our original buck was having trouble um...finishing...they said bring them back and we brought the girls back and she rebred them to another set of bucks for us! Our buck was a newb. Lol he has since finished his business properly!
My husband called your husband this weekend when he saw the ad to tell him...we knew somethin was wrong and was scared at 1st. Glad you guys are ok! I hope they catch the jerks.
You are perfectly correct in saying the reptiles are causing stress. Rabbits eat their young to save their nest/home when a predator lurks too long or the scent is everywhere :( pulling fur to warm them would cause more smell for the predator so they don't :( rabbits aren't rats. Rats should be used as feeders for more than one reason. One of them being the will to live in a rabbit is stronger and breeding them in front of predators just won't happen. Rats don't care.
I wouldn't worry about him releasing snakes. This time of year they'd die outdoors with our temps and need high heat to eat. Rabbits are actually bad snake feeders. As are guinea pigs. Solid skulls as adults they can't digest properly causing issues and feedings babies wouldn't be enough for a large constrictor, they're usually only used as pinkies for smaller snakes. It's poor animal keeping all around.

Stay safe, keep flagging that ad. We are too every chance we get. There is an internet crime agency ill try and find the link for you. Maybe they can track um down. ICP I think its called...

This is this does 1st litter, she had 8 huge babies feeds and checks on them, shows me them when I come in...she's gotten even nicer since kindling! I thought she'd be defensive, nope wants love :)

Craigs list go to the listing look at the bottom of the page click on HELP & several different choice come up to contact Craig list. That is just down right scary how that fool posted you info on the web. I will keep you in my prays. Please be carful & post a sign on your gate letting people know it's a scam

Celie,

I looked at Craigslist and the ads posted on Dec. 15th are still showing up.  I marked them as SPAM, but you need to raise H*LL!!!
Thoughts and prayers your way.

The other thing Celie is to document all the phone calls and the ads how long the info is posted and every phone call. If any one comes by because they read the add. Your sleepless nights etc.

I also do not think he would release a snake on your property simply because if he sells them then that would be letting a couple hundred bucks loose, but I would absolutely invest in some sort of security cameras and other anti-human precautions. We can only hope this insane and juvenile craigslist attack means he lacks the anatomy to do something himself.....

The rabbit thread is: What rabbits do you have? Under "other animals". It was a great helpful thread. Walked me through my little "peanut".

So for you rabbit peeps....

The first pet me and my husband ever got was a mini lop named Serendipity. She was a very sweet gentle thing, but after we got married she was left in the care of a family member who was not careful enough and didn't realize a rabbit might eat a whole dishcloth and she did not make it. A few years later we got a male supposed lop/dutch mix rabbit but as soon as he hit puberty he turned freaking crazy aggressive. I couldn't do anything with him anymore safely. I was scared of a rabbit! :hide

Well it has been years since that insane, killer kung-fu nightmare and we are heavily considering getting another rabbit. My husband remarked that he'd love one of the BIG rabbits, and I looked into temperaments and found that the breed Flemish Giant sounded like the right fit. I also want show quality because I think it would be fun to be able to show a rabbit. That crazy rabbit has left a mental scar on us though, and I was wondering if you guys had some advice on making sure it didn't happen again. What is a better gender for a pet? How can we ensure we get a well raised, healthy bunny? I don't want a half or full grown rabbit that has had no human interaction. We want a freshly weaned rabbit, or one that is use to humans.

I know there is a giant Flemish breeder in the Louisiana breeders Assic you can find through Google. I will try to cut and paste but don't hold your breath. Lol
