We keep a large glass jar and tongs around. Every so often pick a bunch up and collect them, it helps numbers without other means and no creatures seem to eat them. Lol.
Good Idea!!! Thanks,Pam

Bahahaha!! Gumbo is done except for cooking down and adding turkey. I saved some of the turkey for my poor little molting girl. She loved it yesterday. She's feeling better. Still looks terrible, but quit losing feathers. She looks so old with her face featherless and her ashen flopping comb. Poor girl. She's the only one so far to hard molt.
PS if urine could keep possums away I would pee all over the yard. Now that would be quite a sight. Hard time explaining if the neighbors looked over the fence. Lol
Quote:We'd probably see THAT on the news!! My buff brahma (Irish) is having a REALLY bad molt!!! She looks so pitiful and when the wind blows, there's a PUFF of feathers. I keep telling her she's beautiful and the boys keep laughing. I keep feeding freeze dried meal worms and Black oil sunflower seeds, but it's still bad!!! My Polish, just wont grow their tales back. I keep blue koting them (and me) trying to keep the others away from them.![]()
