"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Ok guys, I have the group made two of you added. Some I cannot find. I have the settings temporarily on just "closed" so that those I cannot find can search for Louisiana "La-yers" and request to join. You can also message me to "friend" me and I can add you myself. Either way if you request to join please message me with who you are on this thread (FB message) or on FB (P.M.) so I know you are not a random person trying to join. I will not add random people - only those La-yers we are familiar with. (I vouch for our newest La-yer member shauna (turns out we have an out of forum connection I trust) After I get some of you harder to find folk joined I will switch it back to "secret". Meaning they will not find the group if we do not ask them to join here and all group identities will be hidden from the rest of FB.

so upset my son & I noticed 1of my little goat wasn't doing good so we took both of them inside yes in my house, put them in dog kennel & around 6 am my sweet lil man passed away. Not sure just what was going on with him heck might have been just old age not sure how old he was but now my other 1 is so lonely!  I want a female  as Scotty is young & a GF will be good for him.

Awwwwwwwwww. I'm so sorry to hear that you lost a baby. People are always selling goats on Craigslist. You may want to try looking there.

Meaties and Unsexed chicks don't count at our house lol but...our 'short term' reasoning has sorta backfired being that we have a continuous flow of them :/ shhhhh technically they still don't count. Good variable to consider in chicken math

We count our keepers- breeders, or layers, pets, rescues & anything we agree to grow out. Because that list is a mile long we have to count them.
Babies bunnies unsexed and meat rabbits for fryers don't count but the parents of the babies count.
Turkeys are coming soon as are pigs. The math will be similar lol that's all the math I got in me today!

You flunked animal math period! Just as a point of interest to those of us that don't require a full size farm yet, what was your starting number? Do meaties count? I mean, they don't stay long term. If they do then someone has poured oil on the already slippery slope we are standing on.

Also I think Guineas are kind of like Miracle Whip, you love them or hate them. I am going to admit now that there is NO way I am going to own a flock of those noisy buggers. Nope. Nuh-Uh. Not for me.  I wouldn't jump into that water without lots of research.

Anyone interested in making a closed/secret La-yers FB group?

No one outside of the group would be able to see who's in it or what we post - so we can add only people we trust. We could also share things that BYC might frown upon (like those elf-on-the shelfs that couldn't be shown) and know who each other are better so we can find each other at events or when we pass like ships in the night without knowing.

I have a confession, well, okay, I have two confessions. 1. The soap I got from Lemon to give as Christmas gifts, I kept it for myself and have no regrets. Hehe. 2. I am yearning for a donkey so badly I can picture it and I already named him Pedro.

Somebody please help me. I have fallen down that slippery slope and I can't get up.
