"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

When I googled "yellow matter on chicken vent" the images were really yucky and DEFINATELY not what is going on with Lizzy. That BYC one I found was almost identical. She has really been a pretty good girl through all this indignity.
I am catching up, but in case this ordeal hasn't been answered, I found this...
Spirochaetosis is a condition caused by a group of bacteria known as Brachyspira, a type of spirochaete.
Symptoms

The symptoms associated with spirochaetosis can include the following:
 • failure to gain body weight
 • egg production drops
 • decreased body weight
 • mild to moderate diarrhoea often yellow frothy
 • pasting of vents
 • increased numbers of dirty eggs
 • feed consumption can decrease
 • more common on multi-age sites.
Diagnosis

Crowshall Veterinary Services (01953 455454) offers advice on the diagnosis and control of a disease . Faeces sample will be needed.
Treatment
The condition can be treated using antimicrobial therapy.
Treatments are limited to drinking water medications; licensed products include Tiamulin and Aureomycin (containing tiamulin and chlortetracycline, respectively), both of which do have a nil egg withdrawal period, during and after treatment.

Your such a mind reader!!!   I have my KitchenAid since I make cakes for people. DH just told me 2 weeks ago that he heard someone elses wife has one and he uses it to make his sausage!  I think it may be what we do!  I mean, I already own the most expensive contraption to get it done... so we just need to buy the extra parts.  Think he priced em at like $40 for one thing and,,, i don't know. He was looking at it all. I cut up the roasts and nitpick the fat off the venison..he does the rest!  His oldest son told us at Christmas he started making his own pasta to impress his new girlfriend... may have to ask him for some tips!

i love fresh pasta I have that attachment I don't make it as much as i should its so easy too.DH bought me the new beater that scrapes the sides love it.

I was mainly curious bec by SIL rents equipment including airboats and he might have had one for sale, but that won't help you.

Thanks for checking. They look like a "traditional" boat, however they have a little more seating in the front, yet are still ok for fishing in the marshes. This is what I'm being told. I know nothing...nothing! (A Gomer Pyle reference...oldest LOVES the series). I'll just show up when it's time to take the boat out.

Good morning. We decided last night to get another green parakeet, (Peetey II), so Jim is cleaning & disinfecting the cage today.

Romeo was fanning this morning, silly bird. I hope he’s right & warm weather is just around the corner!

3 day weekend coming up here – looking forward to it! I need to finish cleaning out the new garden spot. My cousin gave me some imported Italian tomato seed called Red Pear – they are an heirloom, grow extremely large – plants will get 7-8 feet tall & very prolific. I also will raise Purple Cherokee, Tomande, Bella Rosa & Sweet Chelsea (cherry). Rattlesnake and Purple Pod pole beans. Eureka cucumbers, eggplants and Hatch peppers from a friend in Albuquerque who raises them. Come on Spring!

So glad to hear you are adding to the family! Be sure to introduce us when he/she arrives. You know how to tell if it's a young bird, right?

Yum on the tomatoes. I'm not familiar with the Red Pear, they sound neat. Again, we'll want to see pictures of that adventure.

Here's a link to it:

Cool looking tomato! My cousin has an outdoor pizza oven & raised the San Marzano types & puts them up for paste for his pizzas. My Dad has diverticulitis & can’t have seeds and the Red Pear is almost seedless so I’m raising them for him & also to put up.

He gets all of his seeds from this company. He says they germinate faster than American seeds and are very hardy plants. I’m eager to see how they stand up to my varieties – I’ve raised the others since 2007 w/great success.

Beautiful tomatoes! I'm checking out the link now. I like that about the seeds, as my husband has had issues with diverticulitis.
I love the San Marzano tomatoes. The Fresh Market (similar to Whole Foods) has a miniture San Marzano they sell. Outragous in price, but I'll get them sometimes for my salad because they are SO GOOD!
