"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

my daughter Baily, and her 'companion' Sara came over tonight to show me their new pet.... THUMPER! All this rabbit talk and i just knew I HAD to show him off! Ok, So....feeding...ya'll are much more experienced than Baily is, so feed what and never feed what?

Aw how CUTE!! I'm fairly new to rabbits myself. I keep the hay feeder full and offer some pellets salads every day of mostly fresh leafy greens with a small amount of non-leafy greens and a tad bit of fruit. This is the link I used when figuring out how to feed her.

I'm sorry I don't know a thing about rabbits but this is a real beauty & I wish you best of luck with him!

I love mine its just the eye they aren't long. Never been the same in the best way! I paid 40 for mine but everything is more in Hi. Pam

Wow, seriously? Mine are so long they could be hair extensions.. I paid $3 for them at Walmart. I just wanted to see how they were made so I can make some just to give to friends this fall when my peas shed their tail feathers.

I'll post a pick for you tomorrow . I've had mine for 27 years.I don't think pea's are native to Hi. Any time you import to the islands it cost a lot .Pam

Some breeders say no fruits or veggies until around 5 months old, others say no problem. I think everyone agrees that their main diet is hay and pellets. Timothy hay is the best for them. I give mine all the hay they want, pellets and each morning they get some celery and a piece of carrot or 1/4 apple.

Here is the new addition to our family - PetII is settling in nicely -- starting to face me & watch & listen to me. Working on taming my little blue dragon! The pic does not do him justice -- in the sunlight, he has shades of lavender in his breast and around his face. His wing feathers are grey edged in white. He's going to be a real beauty!
I love him!! I had one that looked just like him named Pretty Boy when I was young. He was so sweet and tame. I loved him so much. I'm happy for you and your family.

English major? I could only imagine being that smart! My grandmother was, tried so hard with this head of mine! I read every day, but never had her head... Know I STILL play those word seek puzzles? She had me do it on our road trips as a kid... A nickel for each page completed! So sorry for your loss, I know it is hard. I only had mine for 5 years before his death. I am glad for the memories though, and our daughter!

Sorry for your loss!! I had no idea your much to young to have lost a spouse!!

Thank you. I never could figure out what he saw in me. He died suddenly in '86. My heart goes out to every one that has lost a love one. You are right about memory's. They are wonderful and so glad to have them.

I lost my sister Melissa 10 years ago and sometimes when I remember the pain is so great I an hardly breathe. The truth is you may go on with your life after you lose someone but nothing can ever fill that hole. I couldn't imagine losing my husband.

He saw you at your best and worst and loved you uncondionally he saw your beauty even when you couldn't.That must have been a great shock followed by great pain . Memories are great and I'm sure he's visited you in your dreams. If he were around I'm sure he'd want you to stop being so hard on yourself. I wish you happiness I have faith your dreams will come true. Think of where you want to be a year from now. Imagine how you feel when you are where you want to be.set small goals to get you there. I hope I have helped you in some small way. Pam
