"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I will share with one of my nephews. He has a good doctor, has a little of the old world in him. But he understands his patients. Those that are not open to assisting your body in curing itself, he will go to meds. Open to benifits of raw milk, raw honey and not being overly sanitary/sterile. If you go to raw milk, know the sourse. I really like him.

Your very lucky to have a good Dr.

Good morning everybody - fixing to drag myself outside to open the coop and then get ready & creep into work. I know I have a real mess waiting for me, everybody will have to tell me they want to do about pay yesterday - sick leave, vacation, comp -- we all get paid for last Friday, so that's good.

My computer at work won't allow me to answer any posts on any forum, although I can get in & read, so if you see me on here but not answering that's why! stupid office rules - they have blocks set up on our computers so "no social networking sites" allowed. Grrrr!!! I get tired of playing spider solitaire sometimes!

OK have a good one, be safe out there, & here's to the weekend & warmer weather!

Good cold morning. Roads are still bad in my area. I am off again today and I do not mind at all.

Fat broilers have been fed and I'm going back to bed. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Right here, right now I want to publically apologize to my northern bretheren on the DIY thread for me thinking that I wish they would talk about something besides inventions to keep water flowing in their coops when there is ice, snow and freezing temps. I was myoptic. I am sorry. I have walked a fraction of an inch in your shoes. I have seen the frozen beard man. I am changed.

Anyone ever heard/done this? Thought I would share...

I have now looked into this further and it is somewhat true for type 2 but not for type 1. It works by slowing the absorbed rate of of sugar in the digestive tract and over time can lower your A1C. It has a ton of protein, fiber, and b vitamins that help. This does not replace insulin and does nothing to help your pancreas. Your pancreas is what produces the insulin in your body so if you are taking insulin you want something that either helps your body absorb insulin better or helps your pancreas produce insulin (which ever your case). Type 1 is born with a pancreas problem, either they don't produce insulin or they have a protein missing that prevents them from absorbing the insulin produced. Type 2 usually starts with the slower absorption of insulin caused by damage to the pancreas either internally or by physical trauma (genetic code, surgery, meds, or impact). If A1C is not controlled it can go into full shut down of production and then require the person to start taking insulin. This is the reason it is so important for Type 2 to be controlled by diet as soon as possible. There are few studies in this matter however I think there are enough to say that this would benefit both types of diabetes in A1C levels but not in insulin production or absorption. Still, anything that has to deal with these problems needs to be talked about and watched by your doctor.

Thank you to catdaddyfro for mentioning something to get me looking further!

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!! Hens haven't done much BUT make nesting spots in the new laying shelves.... BUT this morning there were 2 eggs in one spot, and a third egg on another shelf!!!! I am so glad they like it! Would have been a lot of work for nothing if they hadn't!

Never did find my "sleep outside" rooster last night. This morning, he is back like normal. I am sure it is the others that pushed him out. I am going to cull some of my extras on Friday. LINDA is coming over! So, i will have emotional support which is good...
