We hung out with chickens this afternoon and did a little gardening. The Nuggets were looking a little gross on the backside (if you know what I mean). So when they went for a walk I gave them a scrub and rinse on their undercarriage. They were not impressed!

But the SURE look better! I bet they are more comfortable too. Its weird how even on clean bedding their poo will stick to the feathers under the butt

Cleaner butts HAVE to be more comfortable!

Went to my friends. The other friend and I dismantled his bed and put on carport so the hospital bed could come in. It's electric so he can sit up with the press of a button. He was really pleased. Did some of the usual maintence washing etc. he has been enjoying Smoothie Kings. So much easier to eat. He was in good spirits.

That is so nice that you are able to help make such a difference for him. I'm not sure I could be as strong as you.

Ok, are you ready for this. I started my gardening event today. With limited stamina I weeded, raked and planted 6' of one row. Scarlett beans. Ha. I had it tilled a couple of weeks ago and it was like cement my SIL told me but it wasn't that bad. I had one of those little hand forks (hatchet type thingy).and it really went well. I wish I had allotted more time. I could have done more. I think I'll do this a couple of times a day and in a couple of weeks I'll have it done.

I gave my 16 babies a new treat today. They have only had fermented chick starter. So today I gave them a little mushed up peeled grapes, mushed chicken and boiled egg whites. Funniest ever. I put the plate down and they looked at it and looked at me. After a minute one Golden comet gave a little peck. Then she tried to run off anybody else that came near. They came on all sides and would get a peck and run like crazy. Love my babies.

The lady that runs this page on fb asked if members would share this page. Its for selling, trading whatever for livestock or livestock and farm related items here in Louisiana. She is a stickler about putting your location, price & description on posts and not allowing people to be rude etc. Or if you have trouble with a deal you can let her know. I was talking about chickens but I'm up for discussing some plant trades. I have hidden Ginger I can share. Also I noticed my blackberry has some sprouts. This is the hybrid without thorns so if you want to pick berries or want to trim bushes or want to pull them up no problem. Last year I planted it and got a few super delicious berries. This year I have lots of flowers. So if you are thining I can trade with you. Love Irises. Have Crepe myrtles and babies. Might could find you some sego pups.

Me too. She keeps a tight ship. But that helps eliminates a lot of scammers and people who are a little on the shady side.

I have a bunch of pics to upload but my phone is dead so I'll do it tomorrow. We finished the outside of the coop. Went and bought lilnoleum for the floor so we can hose it out when it needs cleaning. Now to work on the inside.

I googled it their are alot of gingers. What color are yours? I have white it smells devine. I have peach it blooms like the white and smells good too the peach smell stronger as the flower gets older. I have some with dark green leaves they bloom every couple of years have a waxey texture no smell they look like an orchjd flower. I have varigated yellow leaf ones with the orchid type flower. lastly I have edible ginger. The white I have a ton of but I love the smell and so do humming birds,

I have yellow Iris and a spot that has a mixture of colors that needes split up. My butter fly Iris need to be split up.I have a mass planting of double flower daylileys in orange.I have sagos to get thinned out. Some holly ferns they do great in shady areas where most things don't grow. I probally have more than this tomorrow I'll take pics and stock of everything. 2 things I'm looking for even if its for purchase are mayhaw and Peacan trees. Any one want to trade or barter for something let me know. I'll be able to do that after primrose and I trade each other. I have a bunch of amerris bulds too they are pictured in the pic where I showed our guest house. Pam
