Anyone need a registered chocolate lab? Seriously, I'm at my wits end with our dog. We've always had issues with her trying to get off the runner. We thought we solved the problem with a full body harness for her, but she's learned how to get out of it, too. So anyways, went on a trip and put her in a chicken yard that we aren't using right now. Pretty big yard, but no, she wasn't happy in it. She's dug holes around the bottom of the fence and has managed to cut herself up in an attempt to get out. I put cinder blocks around the edges so she can't crawl under it, but alas, she has learned to move those too. She's learned how to get out of it now, so that option is shot. Anyhow, so I went and bought one of those collars that has the prongs on the inside so that if she pulls on it tight it will poke her so to speak. Yea, she doesn't care. She's successfully gotten out of that, too. So now she's on a choke collar on the runner. She's been on it for about 30 minutes and hasn't gotten out of it yet but I know it's coming. I just don't know what else to do with her. I know she's lonely out there, I get it. But my yard isn't fenced in and I can't afford to bring her in the house other than at night because within the last few months here we've learned that my recently diagnosed asthmatic son is allergic to her, as well as cats. I am *this* close to rehoming her. It isn't fair to her that she has to be out on that runner all day but I'm not about to sink 5 grand into putting a fence up only to find out she can get out of that, too.
