I was born in Zachary. Most of my family lives in St Francisville, Baton Rouge, Baker, and New Orleans. My daddy was born in Coon. Anybody know where that is?

Anyway, I think I'll be flying down to LA for my sisters birthday which coincidentally falls on St. Patty's Day. I'll be staying with her in Uptown and have my youngest son with me... he's 5 months. I would love to take a drive out to Rayne or Branch and see your chickies and just hang for a minute... I saw it isn't that far. What do you guys think? I am so excited. The snow has got me going buggy

Would love to get together. We're about 2 1/2 hrs from NOLA, so it isn't that far a drive. How cool would that be? And hopefully this crazy weather would be over by then. But, let me tell ya, I'm certainly not complaining about our weather after seeing your pics. Yeah, the rain sucks, but how the heck do you deal with that?? Crazy!

We shovel paths everywhere... to the car, to the coops, to the shed, to the HVAC unit to keep it clear of snow, to nowhere so the dog can drop bombs

It's pretty much craziness. We haven't seen this kinda snow since the 80's.

I let my chickens out yesterday (the milles in the front pen) and they did come out and wander around the paths. I call it the Labyrinth
