"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Hey everyone!

I'm going to be incubating some eggs and then brooding the chicks for about 5 weeks over the next two months (doing a study on the growth, behaviors, etc) and although I'm keeping a few, I just don't have the room in my coop for all of the birds once I'm done with the study.

I'm going to have some silkie bantams, buff-laced polish bantams, and copper marans chicks, all 5 weeks old. The farm I bought the hatching eggs from claim "show quality", and although I won't guarantee them to be show quality, but I'm betting they'll be some really nice birds.

If anyone is interested, I'll be selling for $10 per bird around the end of June or beginning of July. (I'm in the Baton Rouge/Denham Springs area)

Hope all of y'all have been enjoying this beautiful weather today! Nice break from all of the rain lately, isn't it?

I'm doing almost the same thing! Only 2 hatched Friday night/Saturday morning, which is actually kind of a blessing. I might be interested in some silkie bantams!

Could y'all pm me your phone # so that I can text you when they're about ready to leave the brooder? I think it might be a little quicker than using this site.

Also- Unfortunately, I am unable to ship them, so you'd have to come pick up the chicks you want
I hope that's not a deal breaker for anyone, but I totally understand if it is

Todays haul!

I think you are doing better than I am! I am averaging 8 per day from 12 hens.
They dropped way down during the last torrential rain days, though.
Finally dried up enough that the eggs are clean.
