Hatched 8 floofs today. 2 marans, 4 olive egger, 2 easter egger

the other 8 (5 marans & 3 olives) didnt make it. They feel empty , i never candled. Will give them til tmrw then bust them open. My SIL brought them from her farm in Georgia so with the way she drives no tellins how these made it

Any of you need hatching eggs?? I cant give eggs away fast enough

I am taking eggs to work daily. One guy just went on some high protein diet where he's hard boiling and eating 10 eggs a day. He brought me a bag of lay pellets in gratitude and has offered more. I am working too many hours right now to set up the incubator.

If any of y'all ever need a pet sitter, I really recommend Furkid Sitting & Services. They were very kind and took perfect care of my senior dog (he's 14), 3 hens, and 2 chicks when we were on a trip. When we got home, they even left a little card welcoming us back home and asking us to let them know we got home safe!

All this rain has caused two cottonmouths to decide that my friend's shower would be a lovely home. She walked in to the sight of a 4 ft cottonmouth eating a toad, and found another in the drain. Nope nope nope nope nope.

I love animals but, Moccasins are why God made .22 repeaters.

( Believe it of not, the biggest water moccasin I ever saw, and I've seen a lot, was in the Bronx Zoo. He still gives me the creeps. )

Damn owl got 9 of my birds last night and a hawk got 6 last week i thought i had cajun justiced all of them but evidently not.

Fyi the animal netting designed to go around shrubs is definitely not predator proof. Both tore it down

Now this was >40 years ago and there all deceased. My uncle was hunting with an old trapper he knew in the Blind River swamp around Bear Island. My uncle asked if he had ever spotted a Bald Eagle back there. He was told " Yeah, I shoot those things." My uncle looked shocked and was told, "They steal out of my traps." What you gonna do. That was how he fed his family.
