Cute babies bhazell123!!!!

Welcome Kmoreau!!!

Congratulations on the job Gracie!

I've had the same thoughts as you on the biosecurity issue Julie, honestly, I don't have an answer. Even in my "grow-out" coop which has flight netting on top, the little sparrows still manage to get inside. At some point I guess we just have to hope for good luck.

At work for an hour or so, I have to call at 9 & they'll tell me what time I can go pick up my Winnie & bring her home. Her brother Malcolm was absolutely lost without her last night; those two dogs are practically joined at the hip.

We've started packing up files & stuff at work, it really brings home that after 9 years, I will soon join the ranks of the unemployed. O well, something else will come along.

The peas have really started calling a lot the past few days; we love hearing the exotic calls. Feels like we are in the middle of a jungle!

Have a good one everybody!

Thanks Missi and Terri for your input. I really appreciate hearing your thoughts. I agree with both of you. I don't think that there is an answer either. I guess we just have to do the best we can and make sure that any new animals are quarantined. I read several threads on BYC that mentioned that the wild birds carry lice and mites and diseases. So, I guess none of us are 100% "safe" with our animals being outside and wild birds coming onto our property. Oh well.

Thanks again for your input.

Lovely babies bhazell123.

Terri I'm sending good vibes out there for Winnie. Please keep us posted. And something else will come along. It will be bigger and better. Things happen for a reason and it will all come full circle pretty soon. Everything will be ok. So, the peas are doing what they do huh? That is great. All I'm getting is honking but that is ok. I know next year, I will get that "wild" call as you mentioned. I can't wait.

Have a good day all!

bhazell123 and Whiskey Bay Congrats on the new chicks! I have some guinea babies hatching right now. There were 4 when I went to work, and hopefully more when I get home!

I just picked up my Blue Splash Maran eggs from the post office this morning, and I am super excited about them. It is tough to find Blue Splashes that lay a nicely colored egg. I bought a dozen and she sent me 17! Hopefully every single one hatches

I know that is wishing an awful lot for shipped eggs, but one can dream right?

I will try to get some pics of the new guinea babies when I get home. Have a good day everyone!
