ok...Are you ready for todays adventure?....lol....

Well, the day starts pretty uneventful.Sold a few birds this morning.Got to feeling kinda run down for some reason.Just horribly tired and fell asleep for a few hours.Woke up still feeling kind of ugghhh..Go out feed and water everyone...etc... Everything done I go inside for the night. My uncle decides to come by this evening. He lives just across the road from us,but hasn't been by in awhile.Well,he wants to see the new babies and all the projects we been working on,so we go out back. While we're standing out there,And I'm trying to get some pictures of the Muscoveys, DH catches a glimpse of my baby gurls pony going down the road 90 to nothin.Makes the curve and out of site.Come to find out dear uncle has only hooked the gate out front, not completely closed it and the pony slipped right through.I grab a bucket of dog food and lead line and go off in search of him.Following tracks until they disappear.Drive out towards other known locations of horses and towards the stables and feed store. No signs.Put the word out on him...No one seen him....Go back to the house to grab a cell phone and call the sheriffs dept to report. My daughter crying her eyes out because her Steve is gone...Head back out to look for tracks,,So we are driving down to the highway (hubby saying he wouldn't be all the way down there, but it was in the direction of the last set of tracks..)and back and happen to see him off in a side yard almost a mile from home.He was previously abused so he's still kind of headshy, but not horrible. But he doesn't like to be caught.Luckily he can't resist the dog food.So I sit down and hand him a couple pieces before I try to reach for the halter. No problems,I get the lead snapped on and we're good to go.Now I have to walk him home.Almost a mile.Down a main road to the casino.Hubby following behind me in the truck to try to deter traffic some.He almost gets hit in the truck a few times, because of these drunk azz people headed to the casino.Blowing horns and flying through like idiots.(I admit a few birds flew)....I don't know who's more tired...me or Steve(the pony)... I'm not in great shape.I made the walk ok,but twisted my ankle.(in flip flops) Hubby tried to get me to drive and let him walk(I'm in better shape...lol) and Unc pulled up and tried to let me drive his truck home and he'd walk him... I'm thinking HELL NO for both of them. I was still feeling under the weather, but I am the only one with handling experience.Steve is still kinda spooky around guys, and he just listens and doesn't try anything with me.I would know how to handle him better.Hubby saying I look like I'm about to stroke.Get him home, and we both hit the hose...he usually doesn't care for water on his head, but he REALLY didn't care today..I don't know who looked more pitiful coming down that road...Me or Steve... But my daughter was sooo happy to see him home. She had to run outside and make sure he was home....I REALLY must get back in shape....lol...

Yea they aren't to fond of my dog Maggie lol but they don't seem to be too afraid of me . Lol even tho my big "babies" wanted back to the coop they are currently in lol silly chickens. And their coop doesn't have any roosts for them yet so I just flipped a chair for them to sleep on and had to put them in there a few times just checked and they are all still in it lol
