At my place, it seems they start laying eggs the day they are born.
Just joking. The typically begin laying eggs at 5 months old. And whey the start, you better watch out. They are laying machines!!!!!!!!!!!!! And they go broody often. They are excellent mothers though and very protective of their young.
The older group has the green color pattern. I will try to take some pics of them on tomorrow when I get back from workso that you can see that they look like.
Your color group over there sounds NICE!
I just got these guys last week. Some of them actually have a barring pattern to some of them.Look on my FB page and I have pics of them from the day I picked them up.Their not that good of pics cause they were having a blast in the mudhole the Pekins made from the rain. They hadn't had a water hole where I got em from.. One of the hens is real cute. She has a fawn/chocolate body color and blue wings....lol...Another hen has a lacey/barring pattern on her back. I think they are supposed to be about 4 months old. Also have a white hen who was supposed to be laying, but hasn't yet....
Whiskey Bay, I'm glad to know that you have these. I got nine babies this spring but I'm not sure what colors they are yet. They could be chocolate, fawn, buff, lilac, or blue.
