I am going to start culling roos this weekend & when I get my flock down to a manageable size, that will be absolutely all until next spring!

Well, let's just say I hope it's my last purchase. I know that I DO NOT want any more chickens, ducks or turkeys. I'm burned out on chickens. I think the broody season has left a sour taste in my mouth. I have to try to break 12 broody hens this weekend. They are just setting in the nesting boxes ON NOTHING!!!! That's a dozen eggs each day that I am not getting because they want BABIES!!!

These sheep will be the last thing I am adding for a VERY long time. Time to thin down the flock a bit. Once I get rid of some roosters, I will be in good shape. I would also like to narrow down my favorite breeds and just stick to those. We will see how everything grows out, and then make a decision. I just don't need to add ANYTHING else!

IF I GET ON THIS SITE TALKING ABOUT SOMETHING THAT I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE --- PLEASE STOP ME--- I am trusting you all to keep me in line for the rest of the year!

just found out about this thread from catdaddyfro.
giving a shout out from pine prairie
had one of them ol'possums visit a few months back, he liked it so much came back a few nights later
and now is resting in the tree line behind the coop! lol, :lol:hope he didn't tell any friends. first time in 6 yrs that i had a nightly visitor.

te= "little" (in cajun)
dave= david (in many languages)
