I have a broody that has been setting for a month and NOTHING! She started with 7 eggs which were marked, but the other hens in the coop kept laying in the nest and she just kept adding to her pile of eggs! I finally moved her into Ava's playhouse so she's alone now. We have no idea when they are supposed to hatch as they were put in all different days. I feel so bad for her...I went to buy some day olds at the feed store, but they were too big. I think she would have known they weren't her babies. I go everyday to feed and water her because she won't get off that nest for anything! I did candle 5 of the eggs Tuesday and saw nice air sacs. She has pushed about 5 eggs out of her nest but still has about 14 under her. I really want the fuzzy butts and I hope they hatch soon. She had one egg she broke and it smelled terrible! Could this pass bacteria to the other eggs? I'm so worried that she's just sitting on a bunch of rotting eggs. Sorry this is so long, but I know my LA friends have some advice for me

I found them from a guy close to hear said he had alot of ducks but just a few chickens
He told me he had a few roos and I was welcome to come look
Sure glad I did lol
And he had more than a few ducks too like 400 if he had 1
