Mike, you're looking at someone (ME) who is afraid to keep electrical appliances plugged in when she is not home. I'm paranoid about fires. If I could unplug the freezer and fridge when I leave out to go to work, I would.
I don't like to have the washing machine and dryer on when I leave. I'm afraid something will catch fire.
I don't keep NOTHING plugged in (microwave, toaster, tv, lamps). EVERYTHING is UNPLUGGED after I use it. !!!!!!!!!!

Yea that's kinda bad!!
Yea, I know.
In addition to practicing safety, I am also saving electricity and keeping the light bill at a minimum.
Just this week in our area, a family lost their home because they left the dryer on while they were out. The dryer caught on fire and they lost EVERYTHING. I guess stories like this keep me paranoid.
