I love watching them get close to laying age and seeing them change so much!! Mine all should be laying about now and I know for a fact that only about 4 are. I'm hoping with the cooler weather it might kick start them!!

That was Beach Blvd in Clermont Harbor,MS.We are just on the east side of the Mouth of the Pearl River. That was on low tide.High tide will render the road impassable.High tide is due around 4am.... Here's a link to some more pics...

We're having some flooding in different areas. We're watching the rivers & creeks we have to pass over cause the water if getting awfully high. I'm waiting for some road closures!! It started raining again little while ago!! It was a nice break while it lasted!

The wind is starting to get serious here.Luckily I have no real close trees to the house, but I know their will be lots of debris around.Going to lose lots of dead trees leftover from Katrina. She came in with 35-40'+ tidal surge. All trees that were left over have pretty much died, leaving lots of projectiles for tornados. We'll see how tomorrow looks, maybe more photos for you ....

That's just crazy!! In Salute' they have some offices upstairs and they have a plaque on the 2nd floor showing how deep the water was during Katrina!! Put's things in to perspective!!

We have LOTS of trees but not as many as we had during Katrina! The debris was horrible!! So far it hasn't been so bad!!

At the time of Katrina...I lived 6 miles inland. My house was a 2 story barn style home raised on blocks a couple feet.We got 17'.Some of the houses took roadtrips down the road with the currents. The waterline was about 1' from the ceiling.

Good morning everyone. I hope everyon was safe and secure last night. I was out until about 10:00 PM in the Guinea Pen making sure that they didn't drown and get covered again in mud. The water was running from the other side of the chicken yard into their dog kennel pen, so we put those sand bags to use. The duck pens were a mess as well. I'm about to go out in a few to make sure everyone survived last night.

Let's hear how ya'll made it through last night.

All fine here, just a lot of water standing & mud. I just let the chickens out to roam around. We did hear a loud "thunk" just before bedtime & a big limb out of oak tree fell on the roof so Jim will have to get up there tomorrow & cut it down the rest of the way.

Hope everybody further South didn't have too much problems with flooding, ya'll check in when you can!

Bet all the ducks are happy with this weather! I have to walk down to the bayou later on when it quits raining & see if I can spot our pair of fulvous ducks who live there. They like to hang out with the wood ducks.

All good at my house, most birds staying on perches all day yesterday and today to stay out of water and mudd I guess. I just finished cooking waffles from scratch, first time pretty good to.
