Question ? I have 4 parrots and they waste a lot of seed , can I give these to my chickens ? Only thing I would be concerned about ,is the un-opened sunflower seed , if they ate it would it hurt them ; although , I feed my Racing Homers black sunflower seeds as a treat and they eat hull and all ,and it does not hurt them . There is a lot of good stuff in the sunflower seeds for pigeons . I generally throw the waste out for the wild birds , it would help cut down on my feed bill if I could chunk out to the ladies . Thanks in advance .

And it's time! The roos are starting to fight over the girls. Nothing major or anything but there's been some feather pulling and to me it's nothing worse than see your beautiful roo without his long feathers!!

My geese are doing the same thing. You can tell when mating season is near.

Could be. I know it definetly has alot to do with the fact that the oldest one has been the only one mating the girls.. ALL the girls... SO, now the others hormones are going into over drive it's starting to cause a ruckus!!

Yes, BOSS (sunflower seeds) are part of my bird's diet on a daily basis. They will love it.

Yes, BOSS (sunflower seeds) are part of my bird's diet on a daily basis. They will love it.

Used to buy it all the time then it went up so much I just quit buying it. $29.99 for 40 lbs! That's just crazy!! I did buy them a flock block last night at Tractor Supply

dubbing- trimming the comb and wattles, really just aesthetic reasons. Its just what you do with gamefowl, like docking a boxer dogs tail its just what you do. If you show gamefowl you will be disqualified if not dubbed.

Here we go more newbies, Trio I picked up yesterday.

Toppy speck stag, Toppy speck hen, and Toppy speck/red cross wich is the hen in front she has more red in her. I guess you can tell why there call toppys with the big cow lick on top of there head lol
