"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

My two black stars (black sex linked) lay an egg a day and rarely lay only 6 in a week. I think they're very pretty, too. I bought them from a feed store at 3 weeks, but that was 9 or 10 months ago. They started laying at about 5 1/2 months and never stopped. they are expensive, just production hens, but I love them.

OPPPPSSSS!!!! The are NOT expensive, they are INEXPENSIVE. Left out the "in" when I typed that. I think I paid $1.50 or so.

This was in response to someone that said they wanted some good layers, no special breed.

That's a good price!

Morning La-yers! My coworker's husband just surprised us with McDonald's sausage biscuits & hash browns - what a wonderful guy! Really hits the spot on this chilly morning.

My Wellie chicks decided to throw a wild chick party at 3 a.m. Up to now, they've been the quietest chicks I've ever hatched, but I woke up to rustling, thumping, chirping & wild EEEPs! I laid there & laughed to myself for a minute, then got up & went down the hall - when I turned on the utility room light, they all froze & glared at me like "WHAT"?! I guess they heard me coming & hid the boombox & the coolers. I think I spotted a few still wearing their "Joe Cool" shades...

I did a quick head count to make sure the loud "Eeeper" wasn't somebody who had somehow jumped out of the box, but all were there so I went back to bed. They were all flat out this morning - definitely had partied hard!

Can we bring peafowl? I would love to enter some of my peas. And like Mike asked, what are the requirements?
