"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

No, that belongs to CelticOaks Farm in Florida, but I saved the picture. It is a great idea not only for chickens, but could be used as a quick greenhouse, or to house one of my aquaponics set-ups.

i would LOVE to see one your aquaponics set-ups.

i'm trying to schedule weekend time with folks to see how they have stuff set up and going.

i have no problem starting small and adding on as i go. and as far as expandable/changeable goes... SHOULD i go with PVC, where i can cap off ends, and then just extend them out with joiners as a go vertical and horizontal both? or do they wear out a lot quicker than treated boards?

my google-fu is weak today. i cannot find anything online, and the few places i've called weren't able to help.

sooooo, whilst i am testing software today - does anyone know somewhere in/close to Baton Rouge, where i can purchase tilapia fingerlings?

Uh, what's fingerlings????????

Call around your local feed stores -- I know ours here has somebody who brings in fingerlings of various species.

Good afternoon La-yers! where did this morning go? I spent mine in the eye Dr office w/my Dad's followup from his 2nd cataract sugery; all went well, Now I have to go back at 3:00 for MY eye checkup.

Bread dough in the oven on 2nd rise before baking, & have a crockpot of red & pinto beans going for supper.

We spent the afternoon tarping & tying down our old greenhouse but it worked - it's still standing! So are all the chickens, chicklets, peas & guineas. Whoo-hooo!

No help here either (sorry, I'm helpless today, lol). We only ever used treated lumber, which has held out fine. Would PVC be prone to dry & crack if the sun beats down on it in the summer? IDK.
