I bet those are big enough to eat cat food. You could probably scoop them up in a Rubbermaid tub and feed them soft cat food until you can get them to a rehabber!

Thank you very much.I gave some babies to this lady once! She is located here in Lake Charles! http://snowhawk.com/heckhaven/Does anyone know of anyone in South Louisiana who re-habs opossums? I found a dead mama and some dead babies on the side of the road but 2 were still alive. We picked them up and put them in a field. People were trying to run over them and I couldn't see that happening to them. I know a opossum is a predator but those babies were so cute. It took everything out of me to leave them there. If anyone knows any re-habbers, please let me know.

Goodluck! Keep us updated on what you decide to do with them! You know what, I didn't even think about cat food because that is what the my neighborhood opossums come in the yard to steal. They eat my feral cat's cat food. I could do them a soft cat food mash. Thanks for the tip.![]()
There is a swap in Ponchatoula La this Sunday this is their facebook page...I asked this once before, but lost the info. Are there any shows and/or swaps/sales in or near Baton Rouge? What site would keep me up on that? I'm just dying to go, but seems most are pretty far away. Thanks!!!![]()
Very nice! You will love the way it works for hatching your goose eggs.Look what came in the mail yesterday! It was holding temperature within a tenth of a degree after only an hour of being plugged in! I can open it up, mess with my eggs, and it is back up to temperature withing minutes! The quality is absolutely FANTASTIC! Words cannot express how pleased I am with Hatchcraftincubators.com The incubator is very heavy and well made. It even has a power strip inside for me to plug autoturners into it.
The got him to make me one with drawers so I can hand turn my goose eggs. The drawers can be removed and replaced with autoturners for when I hatch my chicken eggs. I was going to wait until after my geese stop laying to buy the autoturners, but I think the hubby felt sorry for me after losing the lamb so he order three of them for me last nightSome ladies like jewlery, and some like incubator equipment!![]()
Don't mind my mess! I destroyed that foam packaging trying to get this thing unwrapped!
I already have a few goose eggs in here. I will be setting at least 8 more goose eggs when I get home. Hopefully these will all be fertile! It's my goal to have this puppy filled up by the weekend!![]()
A coworker of mine has a bunch of Peking ducks, and she wanted to do an experiment. She is giving me 3 dozen eggs. One dozen will be straight out of the nest (no washing, refrigerating, etc.), the second dozen will be washed but kept at room temperature, and the third will be straight from the nest and into the refrigerator without any washing. We want to see just how much these things effect hatch rates. I'm always up for an experiment! Especially when it involves the possibility of free ducklings as my reward![]()
