You know I have probably met some of you before. I've recently started going to the deridder swaps since the chicken bug bit me.

chickenbelle, no thank you about the offer to sub. When God created me, he did not equip me with patience and tolerance. I know my weaknesses and limitations and dealing with kids is NOT something that I am able to do. I would be OUTTA there within 5 minutes. There are 3 things that I can't deal with.....1 - -> Silkies, 2 --> Showgirls and 3 --> KIDS!!!

This Saturday will be my first time to take birds to the swaps. I usually keep to myself and just sell online. Are you going this weekend? There's also an auction in Anacoco Saturday afternoon.

I have silkies and showgirls....and I have three kids myself--one who is bipolar. My hubby has 4 daughters. Then I teach. I love my work, but sometimes question why I didn't just go to veterinary school. I get my patience in the form of prayer. When that doesn't work fast enough I get it from one of those gallon bottles I asked for. Often....LOL. I suppose the only way you'd survive a visit to my house is by bring your 5 gallon beverage bucket.

Oh and I'm still not seeing a recipe in my PM....

Since I'm newer to the chicken world I haven't really had much to bring. I just look at what's for sale normally. This time I have 3 silver Phoenix and 2 Millie fluer cockerels to sale.

What kind of birds do you have?

My husband teaches ay LHS. What he really wants is younger kids.

I have 32 breeds/varieties. LOL...I don't know if I can list them all without utilizing all of my brain power but I could try. I teach in Texas. I married a Louisiana man and moved here but continued to work across the border. Hour drive every day there and back.

I have SQ Line Heritage RIR, GLW, MF D'Uccles, Gold Neck Duccles, Porcelain D'Uccles, SP Rocks, Silkies, Showgirls, Buttercups,

I also have LC Orps, BBS Marans, LSussex, LBrahma, Welsummers, Cochins - in Partridge, Blue, silver penciled, black, lavender, and frizzled, EE, OE, SBELs, Arkansas Blues, BBSLW, Wheaten Ameraucanas, Lav Ameraucanas, BBS Ameraucanas, Rhodebar...and now I'm drawing a blank. We have two duck varieties and I'm setting my first batch of turkey eggs tonight. *sigh* The chicken math really hit me.
