"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I have 32 breeds/varieties. LOL...I don't know if I can list them all without utilizing all of my brain power but I could try. I teach in Texas. I married a Louisiana man and moved here but continued to work across the border. Hour drive every day there and back.

I have SQ Line Heritage RIR, GLW, MF D'Uccles, Gold Neck Duccles, Porcelain D'Uccles, SP Rocks, Silkies, Showgirls, Buttercups,

I also have LC Orps, BBS Marans, LSussex, LBrahma, Welsummers, Cochins - in Partridge, Blue, silver penciled, black, lavender, and frizzled, EE, OE, SBELs, Arkansas Blues, BBSLW, Wheaten Ameraucanas, Lav Ameraucanas, BBS Ameraucanas, Rhodebar...and now I'm drawing a blank. We have two duck varieties and I'm setting my first batch of turkey eggs tonight. *sigh* The chicken math really hit me.
I might want to get some Welsummer eggs from you later this summer! My brooders are full right now, but maybe in a couple months or so if you have some!

Also, what color silkies do you have? Might have some to trade by then too!

Good morning ya'll. I need some rest.

ssterling1776, we got a bit of rain as well. Hope it dries up your way so that you can complete your projects.

Terri, that is amazing. Was it alive? Grapes were on sale yesterday at Super 1, so I bought a gallon of grapes and started my grape wine Terri. When it is done, I'll bring a bottle for you and Jim to try. It usually makes about 5 gallons of wine.

Have a good day ya'll.!
COOL!!!! please send me your recipe! -- I'll try it with my muscadines when they get ripe this summer!

Yes, the moth was alive. It was under our carport on Jim's van & it flew out into the backyard where he took a quick pic of it, then it flew off. I didn't see it around this morning.

I just started out so mostly chicks and eggs. I have a grown silkie roo and some Polish hens. I will be raising seramas, silkies, Polish, sultans, and d'uccle. I also have corturnix quail chicks.

There's a swap in DeRidder this Saturday if you're interested in looking.

Ya know, because ALL us chicken folks do at swaps is just go to LOOK.

Hello to everyone this morning. I know I dont say much on here but I just had to brag on Ewe Crazy Farm. I bought a few LF Choc Orps from Mr. Everett and have been anxiously awaiting their arrival for about two weeks. I had also ordered a trio of CCL to accompany my little prizes. WELL, I opened the box this morning and I had TWO extra choc orps and an extra CCL Roo. I was elated!! I give Ewe Crazy Farm FIVE STARS with my experience and will definitely buy from Mr Everett again. Super nice man that aims to please his customers. I wish I was smart enough to add pics. Lol.
to add pics, look at the task bar on top of your quote, click on the little icon thingy about 2/3 of the way across that looks like a tiny picture in a frame; that'll take you to "browse" & go to where ever you have your pics stored on your computer & click on the one you want to post & it will. I hope that made sense. Somewhat. There's a more detailed explanation in the forum on how to do things.

I would be interested in d'uccle and maran eggs if you bring some.

My d'uccles were late starting to lay so they had been cooped together and I just showed a few who are in quarantine, so the eggs I'm bringing from the d'uccles will either be pure gold neck, or gold neck booted bantam--she will throw d'uccles and some that are unbearded booted bantams like herself, or will be mixed...mille or porcelain hens with the gold neck roo. They are all getting separated tomorrow. I should have all pure eggs in a few weeks. Not porcelains...my cockerels aren't working their magic yet.

My silkies and showgirls are all younger. I have a white, paint, blue, and blue partridge silkie and a white, cream, and blue partridge showgirl. We can talking trading bloodlines. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep any Welsummers. I REALLY need to downsize who I'm keeping. They may all be going to the swap this weekend.

If I told you that would be incriminating evidence of wild children who drive me to drinking...

Now wait...I don't even know where Sandy Creek is! I am on the cusp of being in the center of Toledo Bend Dam, your metropolis and my larger one--it has a snow cone shack and a bank so it's an even larger metropolis.

Jeff, really??? I have a hundred stinkin little feathered critters as it is. Why would I need more roosters? Enabler!

Have fun at the races. I haven't been to those in years.

Hey now we just got us a brand spankin' new Dollar General we are only 'bout 10 years behind Anacoco, lol Hey about a hundred years ago Hornbeck was a big railroad hub in Vernon Parish back in the logging days heck even had a round house for the trains to turn around and go multi directions had a bank then too, was a booming city but it caught fire somehow and burned down. I figure some logger hit the big time pay day and all had too much of the vino and partied too hardy and burnt down the joint then all were too drunk to put out the rest of the town LOL 'cause alcohol is sore subject in all of northern Vernon parish it lets the demons out LOL or the demons get too stupid to indulge in it more likely if the truth be known LOL
