"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

PrimRoseMom - How big are bunnies? I can't really get a size from the photo. About how much do they weigh? My best guesses are... the more black one (in the front) looks like he could be a silver fox (if that is actually gray or silver hairs scattered in the black). The other one looks like a Rex to me. Both of those breeds get big. The Silver Fox rabbits get about 12 pounds, and the Rex get to be about 10 pounds. Now, if you think they are going to be smaller than that, I would go with Havana. They are a fairly popular but smaller breed. Havanas only get to be about 6 pounds. I hope that helped!! If you have any more bunny questions, you can PM me and I can do my best to answer them

Grocery store chicken...
Thank you for reminding me that what I do is lovely. I can't even imagine what they go through. When I got my 2 black stars at age 3 weeks from a feed store, they were totally freaked out and bloody and scabby from being pecked by the other 20 birds in a small space. They are tame and beautiful now, but what these go through...it is beyond imagination and so sad.

That is just mind-boggling. Next time mine are misbehaving, I will show them that pic & tell them to count their blessings!

Yes I worked my first seventeen years of life till I graduated from school on a farm just like that. We had 4 of those chicken houses to care for EVERYDAY with 20-25,000 head in each one. NOT A LOL here,
