My dad said there was one roaming his neighborhood!  Seems like people don't understand that they are quite the roamers!

You are right about that. My white pea LOVES to roam as well.

yes, the peas seem to be taking over! I saw this guy yesterday, he was taking a leisurely stroll next to a quite backroad. My dad said that he's been hearing one, but had never seen it. He was so glad when I finally got the evidence of him! We have no idea where he came from. No one has peas (that we know of) in the area - he lives in a small rural neighborhood outside of Doyline.

Wow! He's gorgeous!

Good morning ya'll. Bad weather last night and I slept through it. :/

Had another gosling hatch on yesterday and the turkey hen and muscovy hen that hatched it attacked me as I removed the baby. I have a few war wounds to prove it. :/

I noticed on yesterday that my new baby lamb is having trouble "finding" the mothers nipples to suck. I suddenly got a mental picture of me feeding this baby every 2 hours. :th So, I immediately had to come up with a plan because if I have to feed it every 2 hours it will die because I am not able to do that because I have to work. I was able to catch the mom and bring the baby over to the mom and let her suck for a while. I have them penned up to ensure that the baby eats but I'm not confident that the baby can find the nipples. At first I thought the baby was blind but it's not. It walks around and appears to see fine. So, I guess today, I will make my way to TSC to buy milk and buy bottles to feed it. This is going to be difficult. :hit

We had one that didn't want to latch immediately either. It took us about an hour to get him latched on, but once he found it he was fine. He grew into the largest lamb of the season! You may luck out!

Gracie, I hope so. I placed it near the nipples and it did suck a while on yesterday but it seems to be a slow learner. I pray that it will finally get it because if not, in the best interest of the lamb, I will have to give it to someone who can nurse it because I cannot physically nurse it. I would have to take off from work for a few days to care for this baby. I can't let it die because of that. I'm so nervous.

I sure hope he makes it!
Rained all night here too & again just a short while ago. Hard to believe hurricane season is just around the corner.
