Yep, that's a young moc. If anyone ever needs something identified, just let me know. I've worked with reptiles extensively. Just post or message me. As long as it's a decent pic (and the snake is still alive), I'll be happy to ID it for you.

Thats crazy hope he was dead dead when yall moved him. I'll catch a non poisonous snake anytime without worries but the poisonous one send a chill down my spine.

If it had bitten the chickens, would it have been fatal. I've seen videos where chickens go after snakes. Are they immune?
Yes, and from what I've been told, the young ones are more likely to deliver a full venom load... but I have no proof to back this up.If it had bitten the chickens, would it have been fatal. I've seen videos where chickens go after snakes. Are they immune?
Yes it would be fatal although they eat a lot of non-poisonous snakes but a bite from a Cottonmouth that size would surely be a death sentence for a animal the size of a chicken for sure. I've seen 50-60lbs dogs that have been bitten by snakes like that and it puts crimp in their stye for a couple of weeks so anything smaller than that would surely suffer greatly or not survive, I figure.there was a fellow on here (BYC) Yard-full-of- Rocks he had a 10-12 lb Barred Rock male die from a copperhead or cottonmouth bite just last summer.
