"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I got my first egg from either my splash silkie pullet or my millie fluer X frizzle. They are with my sultan roo right now. I wonder what the chick would look like. May have to incubate it and see!

Uh, I forgot to put my chicken eggs on lockdown on Wednesday. I"m sure they are riding a roller coaster ride in the incubator at home right now. Oops.

They'll be fine I've hatched a many of them out and had to dig them out from under the auto turner they were good and still grew up an acted like chickens.

You know how tuff those little rascals are? when we used to have the broiler farm we got those chicks on a bus in crates of 250 to the crate and 20 - 22,500 to the house full you know how you get them from point A to point B (crate to ground) well with those numbers you don't unload each and every one by hand one at a time out to the ground it'd take a week or so to do that you grab the crate (like an ol timey housewife would the dish pan and give it a toss out the back door to throw the dirty water out of it) the same motion on the chicks they hit the floor roll and get up and head straight for the feed trays. God makes them tuff for their first hours of life, just think where some broodies hatch their chicks from, not all on ground level and they have to get down somehow. Till they ever eat you can't hardly hurt one unless you mash the livin' stuffing out it, they come here rubbery and bend and bounce a lot LOL
